Overview

Ghorepani Trek is a relatively short trek in Nepal. It’s a weeklong trekking in the foothills of Annapurna where you will be traversing rhododendron forests, isolated hamlets, and mountain villages. This incredible adventure begins from Pokhara, a laid-back town surrounded by stunning scenery with nine peaks over 7000m and the placid lake where you can enjoy boating. Day-to-Day-Itinerary:

Day 1 Kathmandu Arrival
Arrive in Kathmandu, a member of Everest Himalaya Treks team will meet you and take you
to your hotel, where we’ll gather for an orientation.
If you arrive early in Kathmandu, you may have an opportunity to explore this capital city of
medieval treasures. You can go to Thamel for nice lunch or stay in the hotel and get relaxed.
In the evening, your guide will accompany for Welcome Dinner and will provide informal
briefing about the trek. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 2 Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour
Today we have a tour around the World heritage sites in Kathmandu, listed under UNESCO.
The city has a lot surprises at every turn, bewildering array of colourful temples and shrines.
We start the tour from Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest Buddhist Stupas in the world.
Then we continue to visit the most famous Hindu Temple in the country, Pashupatinath
Temple where the cremation takes place. We head off to Bhaktapur for the final visit before
returning back to the hotel. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 3 Drive to Pokhara
We set off after an early breakfast for the long drive westwards passing through many dotted
villages and temples to Pokhara. It is an enchanting lake city surrounded by the snow peaked
mountains and the impressive Machhapuchhre peak. Arriving in Pokhara, we check in at the
comfortable hotel near the lakeside of Fewa Lake, one of Nepal’s largest lakes. Dinner will
be taken in a local restaurant near lakeside. Overnight at hotel.

Day 4 Drive to Nayapul. Trek to Tikhedhunga
After breakfast, we drive for an hour or two to reach Nayapul passing through Lumle Village.
We gear up and start the trek from the bustling road-head town of Birenthanti. Today is a
good warm-up for the harder and longer days to come. We follow the Bhurungdi Khola until
we reach Tikhe Dhunga. Overnight at lodge.

Day 5 Trek to Ghorepani
From here, we cross the river and follow the stairs to reach Ulleri. Today there are more steps
to climb in a stone-staircase as we pass through a pleasant forest of rhododendron, magnolia

and oak to reach Ghorepani (2860m). The name ‘Ghorepani’ means horse-watering place. It
occupies a notch in a ridge overlooking the Kali Gandaki Valley. Overnight at lodge.

Day 6 Visit Poon Hill and trek to Tadapani
Early morning, we climb up the well-marked path by the light of our torches to the celebrated
viewpoint of Poonhill Tower. We wait for the sun and see the crowd from different walks of
life waiting for the sun. It’s uphill climb to the ridge but it’s rewarding excursion. The sun
rays illumination over the head of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna and Manalsu peaks is astounding.
Back to lodge for breakfast, before setting off on our trek towards Tadapani. We start towards
Banthanti and then on to a pass where Tadapani is located. During the trek, there are fine
views of Annapurna South and the peak of Machhapuchhare. Overnight at lodge.

Day 7 Trek to Ghandruk
After breakfast, we set off for Ghandruk with lots of up-and-down along the way and enjoy
the stunning views behind our steps. We will be winding through the forest of magnolia and
rhododendron before reaching to charming Gurung villages -Ghandruk, a thoroughly touristy
village. Overnight at lodge.

Day 8 Trek to Nayapul. Drive to Pokhara
Our trek ends here so it is best to cherish the adventure moments within or share with your
local teams before hitting back to the lake city. We go down through the course of the Modhi
Khola, pass the farmland and scattered small farms before arriving at Syauli Bazaar and then
to Nayapul. From here, we take a relatively short ride to Pokhara where we check in to the
same hotel close to the lake. After lunch, the afternoon is free to wander by the lake, you can
go shopping in fancy boutiques or just admire the view of Annapurnas. This lake city is the
wonderful place to relax at the end of our trek. Overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 9 Pokhara Sightseeing Tour
Pokhara is a very laid-back city compared to Kathmandu. Today we have a sightseeing tour
to explore this quite charming town. There are several of the main sights of in Pokhara; we
will start the trip from Davis Fall, Gupteshwor Cave and then to the Peace Pagoda which sits
on a ridge overlooking the town. In case, if you have missed the sunrise over Annapurna
Himalayas, you should go to Sarangkot to take advantage of the first rays of the sun
illuminating the snow-capped peaks of Annapurna Range, Dhaulagiri and with a beautiful
pink glow.
Pokhara is vibrant with great restaurants, interesting shops cafes and bars with the sensational
backdrop of the Annapurnas. We return to the hotel in the evening for dinner.

Day 10 Pokhara to Kathmandu (Flight / Bus)
Today we return to Kathmandu. After breakfast, we take a private vehicle for Kathmandu.
But in case of domestic flight option, you will enjoy free time perhaps for some last minute
shopping or enjoy delicious lunch in the lakeside of Pokhara. Afternoon we fly to Kathmandu
and transfer to hotel.

Day 11 Departure

Transfer to Kathmandu Airport for the flight home.
